Per Egland
Per Egland är tonsättare och rockartist. Han skriver orkestermusik samt musik till film, teater och olika konstprojekt. Per har studerat arrangering och komposition på Musikhögskolan i Piteå, vid Kungliga Musikhögskolan i Stockholm samt vid Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia i Italien. Han är också verksam som pedagog vid universiteten i Umeå och Piteå, samt lett flertalet projekt inom barnkultur och komposition. Tillsammans med författaren Mikael Niemi har han också skrivit musikalen till Stor-Nila.

Per Egland is a versatile Swedish composer, guitarist, rock star, and record label director. His career spans multiple music genres, from orchestral music to rock and film composition. Per began his musical journey at a young age, studying arranging and composition at the Piteå School of Music, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and the Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia in Italy. He has also worked as an educator at the universities of Umeå and Piteå, leading projects in children's culture and music composition.
As a composer, Per Egland has created music for a wide range of settings, including orchestras, theater productions, and films. His work as a film composer has led to award-winning soundtracks for Farsan (Josef Fares), Martha och Niki (Guldbagge for Best Documentary), and Målbrottskören (SVT Documentary). He has also enjoyed success in popular music and rock, recording several albums as a guitarist and frontman, including Slut dina ögon och dröm om Egland and Skogen (Grammy-nominated).
In addition to his successful music career, Per is also known as a record label director, playing a key role in developing and supporting new musical talents. Together with author Mikael Niemi, he wrote the musical Stor-Nila, which became an appreciated work in Swedish theater.
Per Egland has received several scholarships and awards, including UNM Oslo 2008 and Composer in Residence for the Swedish Wind Ensemble in 2012. He remains a creative force in both classical and popular music, continuing to be an important figure in Sweden's musical landscape.
